TEFL Videos - 10 Activities for the Past Simple
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
I struggled with this unit - only because I had a long break between completing unit one and completing unit two. Other than that this was a fun and informative unit. I thoroughly enjoyed the section on \"maturation\". The breakdown of likes and dislikes was extremely helpful and I am sure it will come in handy when planning future lesson plans. This unit covered some of the main learning and behaviour theories and it was interesting to consider some of these including Piaget's stages and critiques of this such as decalage progess in different domains. Native language acquisition and language learning-I learnt L2 French by total submersion as a 10-15 year old very relevant. Developing a syllabus to meet different young learners using versions of ESA very useful to practise areas more than once. The roles of the \"Teacher\" vary and often come with experience. Useful analysis of the levels of Productive and Receptive skills and likes and dislikes of different ages of young learners in the classroom. The levels of skill they display combined with tips on classroom environment and relevant exercises. I have a lot of experience with Adult Learners and this module is very useful and stimulating about stages of development and different learning styles such as auditory, kinesthetic and visual.
