Modals and Passive Voice - Adapting the main verb

Another point that students find difficult to understand is that modal auxiliary verbs have no tense. Some modals cannot be used to talk about the past or the futures. Watch this video to find out more about this topic.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I found this unit to be extremely helpful. I learned in more detail the different possible structures of covering content, i.e. EAS and the related options of Boomerang and Patchwork. I also found the ideas presented for each phase very helpful, particularly the Engage phase. I plan to use several of these \"engage\" activities when I resume teaching in the Fall of 2017.I learned how to teach students that have little to no experience with the language. I should realize what makes things hard to learn for the student like similarity to the learner's language, similarities to already known english words, spelling and pronunciation, and appropriacy. I should be aware of these things so that I can teach better to the student that is confused.
