Can I get a teaching job with an online TEFL certificate? - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT TEFL & TESOL
Can I get a teaching job with an online TEFL certificate?
You can certainly get a teaching job with an online TEFL certificate. In fact, you can probably get a teaching job without any kind of qualifications or experience whatsoever. The real question is, can you get a quality teaching job with good pay and comfortable working conditions with an online certificate? The answer is still YES, if you make sure you sign up for the best quality online course you can find.
The main problem for online trainees is the obvious lack of any practical teaching experience. If you can afford a month-long in-class training course that includes multiple hours of teaching practice in a real classroom, you will be able to apply for a wider range of jobs in most parts of the world. If you choose the cheaper... [Read more]

3 Reasons to Take a TEFL training Course
“Why should I bother to complete a TEFL course?” is a question I personally had asked many times and a question I have heard many others inquire about.
This post was written by our TEFL certification graduate Crystal N.
General stereotype
Since there are programs that allow individuals to teach English in a foreign country without TEFL or TESOL certifications, many see it as a waste of time. I will be honest and say that I was one of those people. I am current teaching in Japan through the JET program and prior to getting this job I didn’t think it was necessary for me to take a TEFL course. But along the way I realized that maybe it would be more beneficial than I... [Read more]

What TEFL qualification do I need?
TEFL and TESOL courses can be taken online, in-class or as a combined course (mixed online and in-class training). An internationally recognised TEFL qualification should contain at least 120 hours of externally validated study.
Depending on the visa rules of the country that you would like to work in, a degree may also be necessary. More information about BA and MA TESOL programs can be seen on our Upgrade your Qualifications page.
Online or onsite TEFL courses?
There are some clear advantages to taking an in-class TEFL course. The main benefit comes from the observed teaching practice sessions and the confidence that is instilled in new teachers. Why Take a TEFL / TESOL course
There are many reasons to take a TEFL course, not least because it is the best way to enable you to work almost anywhere in the world as an English teacher. While there are still some countries and employers that do not require teachers to have a formal TEFL/TESOL qualification these places are gradually becoming few and far between and the days where simply being a native speaker of English were enough to guarantee a teaching job are mostly long gone.
Increasingly, those hoping to teach English as a foreign language are required to have a certificate of at least 100 hours if not 120 hours. Therefore having a TEFL certificate opens up far more employment opportunities than would be available without one. Taking the time to study and complete a course... [Read more]
