Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit we learned about the roles of a teacher and the roles of the students. As an instructor there are set rules on how to accurately handle situations. It is the instructors job to efficiently help language learners improve on their second language, by using the right approaches. Given any scenario, the instructor should be able fulfill his or her role as a reliable teacher. This unit helped me to understand different teaching approaches and methodologies, especially the ESA method. I gained a better understanding of how lessons can be organized and improved through varied activities and when it is the correct time for the teacher to provide feedback to students to make sure they are motivated to study, participate and discover the language on their own.
