Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit explains what makes a good teacher in regards to teaching style and personality, and also what makes a good student for much of the same reasons relating to learning style and their own personality. I leaned the different roles a teacher can play and how to adapt to each one - whether its being at the front of the class being a manager or working directly with the students on an individual level being a prompter. The videos showed that the attitude of the teacher is very important. He\\she should be encouraging, warm and friendly. Smiling is very important to make students feel comfortable. In the second video, the teacher had flashcards. He had his worksheets in order and he knew exactly what he was going to do and in what order. He also used mimes and gestures to elicit vocabulary. All of this encouraged good class participation.
