Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The evaluation and testing unit gives the teacher guidelines on the different ways in which she can assess the students' competency and progress. It specifies which tests are necessary for which purpose. Unit 15 also lists the different external examinations that a teacher may have to help her learners prepare for. External examines are hosted by various institutions depending on the students' needs such as work, study or travel. This section focused on writing and speaking as productive skills that students must develop. Using the ESA method, it is easy to drill and teach these concepts, focusing on accuracy and fluency when needed. The important thing in teaching writing and speaking is to make it fun and interactive in order for it to not be intimidating. If it is too intimidating for the students there will a lack of participation, and thus, learning.
