Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Teaching English as a foreign language is rewarding and can also be challenging as well. When faced with a new group of students, teachers are encouraged to establish rapport as well as find out what are the students, needs and aspirations. It is also important to find out the language level and ability of each student. Some of the activities that a teacher can use to achieve that are questionnaires or surveys for exampleFor this unit I feel that I have learnt of different teaching themes and the usage of the methodologies. In addition I have learnt how to apply these themes of teaching to a range of contexts and situations. Some of these teaching themes I have learnt are: 1. Case studies as a tool 2. Frame-working 3. Problem based learning 4. How games can be used in the classroom 5. Speech Act Theory 6. Lesson planning with materials
