TEFL in Linkou, Taiwan

This was a difficult unit to do because it involved so much consideration of application. I am going to use this format to prepare a minor lesson plan for a ESL conversation group that I volunteer at. Putting this kind of learning into practice is truly the best way to fully absorb it. I see from this unit that separating class activities into discreet phases is a definite help in shaping the objectives of a lesson.The contrast between the first and second lesson were immediately obvious. The first lesson was dull, intimidating and boring due to the presence of the teacher. The second lesson provided a nearly flawless presentation, as the teacher is engaging, specific and caring towards the education of the classroom. It was helpful to see a clear presentation of what is considered an effective and ineffective way of teaching.
