I had never heard of a Gerund before, it is interesting to see how much of the English language we would not be able to academically explain because we are simply \"used\" to it. A gerund is the -ing form of a verb used as a noun. I would have been able to recognize the usage of the verb as a noun, but would not have known how to explain what was happening in the sentence without knowing the significance of a gerund.There was a lot of information in this lesson. I enjoyed the wealth of resources provided for classroom activities during the Engage stage of the ESA plan. Perhaps most enlightening was the idea that immediate correction is appropriate or inappropriate depending on the current stage (goals) of the lesson. Also, I had never heard of several of the methods (Suggestopaedia), but look forward to further study into these.
