Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I found this unit helpful on how to connect and establish a rapport with my students. As I was a previous tutor this is a refresher for me as it just reinforced what I was taught previously, but with a little bit of change. For example, as a tutor you have to show a connection as a peer where as a teacher you have to show a little bit of discipline and dominance. Finding out the subtle differences has allowed me to grow.Just as it would be wise for a translator to bring a dictionary or an office worker to gather their supplies, teachers prepare themselves for their work through lesson plans. The purpose of these lesson plans is to provide a goal and a structure to their lessons. Through lesson plans, teachers can keep themselves on track during a lesson, anticipate problems, and correct their errors through notes taken in other classes.
