In this unit we are shown two very different ways of a teacher giving a lesson.
In the first video we see how not to teach a class. The teacher is condescending, short, impatient and doesnt encourage the students in any way.
In the second video we see an engaging teacher who is doing his best to have everyone involved and enjoy the lesson. He encourages the class to participate which makes the lesson a success.Today we've learned about present tenses.
The most interesting part is definitely all the ideas provided to teach tenses and follo ESA methodology in class. Many times teachers run out of ideas, and we end up teaching explicit boring grammar lessons.
I have particularly enjoyed the engaging activities because they can create a more 'natural' learning atmosphere as well as a way of doing collaborative learning.
