Most of our students are business people or university students who are very serious about their studies. In August Gates-ELC will begin a program to teach English and other subjects to children aged 5-14 who are attending bilingual schools. Most of our "classes" are really tutorials or two people.
Minimum qualifications: Native English speaker
Two years university in English or related field
Teaching experience
Preferred qualifications:Native English speaker
B.A. English; M.A. English or related field
Cambridge or Trinity Certification
One or more years ESL teaching experience
Six-month contracts, which are extendable, are preferred.
Fully qualified teachers receive:
$7500 pesos per month ($6500 pesos for minimum qualifications)
42-hour workweek (approx. half teaching, half preparing)
Paid vacations (limited national holidays; Easter and Christmas)
Limited housing on campus, as available
Full kitchen, laundry, and internet facilities for all
