Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit has given me an overview of the parts of speech which is of great importance as it is the very basis of understanding the nature of a language. If I am to teach it, I will need roots to build my lessons on and creating a complete sentence and understanding the structure of it gives me that. It is about defining the functions of each word in a sentence but not yet about how to place them. The future is a complex area of the English language. The seven most common are as follows, future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going+infinitive, present simple, present continuous. the most frequently used form are be going+infinity, and present continuous. Present simple and present continuous are used as present tenses, but can also be used in future.
