Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

It was highly interesting watching these videos of examples of how a lesson should be structured and exactly what one can do to make a lesson appealing to learners. Clearly building a rapport is of huge importance because learners then feel comfortable to engage with the content and not feel afraid to make mistakes as these mistakes are of vital importance for them and the teacher.Unit 16 covered conditionals and reported speech, and how to teach these concepts. this is another area in which native English speakers don't often stop to consider the rules of grammar. They just speak naturally. This makes this another topic that can be difficult to teach. The chart that shows the tense conversion from going from direct speech to reported speech was very helpful.
