Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This taught me a lot about making the students relaxed so as not to be inhibited from learning. Also the method of engage, study, and activate, is effective because it maximises the benefit for the student to absorb the target language. For example, engage allows the student to warm up, then the study helps to understand, and activate helps both to imprint the language in their minds and hearts. This section covered pronunciation and phonology. I did not realize how many organs work together to help us produce sound. I thought that was interesting. I thought the phonetic script was really challenging. I still do not totally understand why its existence is necessary. Does it really help people of different dialects in different countries understand each other? I found it to be confusing.
