Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this chapter, we have learned about the importance of non-verbal communication techniques along with their importance vis-a-vis the student population itself. It is extremely important to create an environment that fosters open communication among the student population to increase STT. TTT should be tempered with encouraging each student to express his/her opinions of the lessons that are being covered. This unit brings the receptive skills; reading and listening into the light. Reading and listening can be used for a purpose or for pure entertainment, but normally the motive is a mix of the two. For the teacher it´s important to consider the pre existing over-all knowledge that the students have of the world or a specific topic to be able to plan the lessons in a way that will make sense to the students.
