Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I have felt that this unit has taught me a lot about the material that is needed for teaching English in a classroom and the difference between authentic material and created material. Authentic material is basically anything a native speaker would hear and read in his or hers home country while created material is designed by the teacher to replace some materials from the book that the teacher may not agree or like. This chapter really enlightened me on the importance of using Future Tense correctly. Before completing this unit I had never realized that I had been shirking on my usage of proper tenses. This may have been due to the area in which I grew up and the slang I grew up listening to and emulating. Regardless, I am quite grateful that I am slowly re-learning proper adult grammar that I can pass down to my future children.
