In the first lesson, the teacher was rude and scowl. It made all the students feel like they are stupid. And don't understand very easy grammar. They were scared to ask and to answer. The teacher didn't give any clear instructions about new grammar.
In the second lesson, the teacher was happy, hospitable, friendly. Ths students understood the lesson, the material and were ready to produce the language on the Activate phase.It's not easy to have an effective lesson. It depends a lot on the teacher's attitude and the lesson planning. A teacher must have a good attitude and cares about the leaning of his/her students. Teachers should have to know what they are doing in classes and make sure that the students can use what they learn at the end of the lesson.Moreover, building a rapport between the teacher and the students are also very important.
