Stapro s.r.o. (a software company based in Pardubice, Czech Republic)is looking for a TEFL qualified native speaker to teach ESL to the employees of the company. You will teach weekly lessons to multiple levels of speakers. Benefits include 20,000 CZK gross/month, health insurance, food vouchers, 25 paid vacation days, and free accommodations for the duration of the contract. This is a 12 month contract with an optimal starting date of June 15, 2009. A contract extension is possible. A bachelor’s degree is required and teaching experience is preferred. I really enjoyed this unit. I found it challenging yet very intriguing. It still baffles my mind that when learning English in school, the fine line details of the language itself and how it is all put together are not taught. I found it very helpful to know learn about the different conditionals as well as direct and reported speech, how sentences change based on how a person replies within a conversation.This unit taught about evaluation and testing. There are various ways to evaluate students including tutorials (can take place with the whole group or individual students), evaluation by students (students evaluate the course by questionnaire or guided discussion), and tests (placement, diagnostic, and progress). Progress tests should be used periodically to gauge what language has been acquired or forgotten.
