Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit we will finish our look at English grammar. The 'modals' are: can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to, needn't and ought to. They are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. Phrasal verbs, or multi-word verbs, consist of a verb plus one or two particles. (A particle may be a preposition or an adverb, oranadverbplusapreposition.)This unit taught me how to use different teaching strategies and themes to keep my students focused on the lesson and to get a point across. I saw how I can adapt certain board games to apply to a specific language outcome. This unit showed me that each age group has it own games that are appropriate to the students, for example nursery rhymes for six-year old's and story writing for thirteen-year old's.
