Creative and Enthusiastic EFL Teacher Wanted in Czech Republic

Date posted:2019-07-11 | Writer: Castle English Language School | Email: [email protected]

Castle English Language School is currently looking for the final native level EFL teacher to complete our staff for the new school year. The position is available to start from early September 2019. The new teacher will have the opportunity to teach in small groups (max 6 students) and one-to-one.

All of our teaching staff are given guidance and support with planning and classroom activities, and have access to a variety of excellent resources. We are a small family-run school and we pride ourselves on the relaxed and friendly atmosphere we provide for both our teachers and students. We have a different approach to teaching here at Castle English incorporating modern teaching techniques with highly original programs of study. Following the traditions of our school we want our new teachers to be positive, flexible, hardworking, highly creative, and sensitive to the needs of their students.

A normal teaching week consists of approximately 25 teaching hours. The vast majority (over 90%) of teaching is conducted in our historical school building on Masarykova street. However there may be a few lessons a week where teachers will commute to a local business/academic institution.

Liberec is a historical university city close to the border with Poland and Germany. It has a population of around 100,000, and is about 100km north of Prague. It's situated in a valley between two mountain ranges and serves as a popular winter sports destination. Our school building is located on Masarykova Street in the beautiful old town, a few minutes’ walk from the historical centre of the city.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

The standard teaching week at Castle is 25 hours. Teachers work under their own business license and invoice between 20K and 28K Czech Crowns per month, which represents a competitive salary in the Czech Republic. We provide assistance finding accommodation, sorting visas, and dealing with the needlessly complicated Czech bureaucratic system.

REQUIREMENTS:

• You must be a native level speaker of English

• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA or other advanced pedagogical qualification: essential

• University degree: essential

• Teaching experience: preferred

• Massive creative brain full of interesting ideas and sparkling, witty conversation: essential

HOW TO APPLY:

If you think you could be part of our team, please send your CV, a personal covering letter detailing why you would like to work at Castle English, and a recent photograph to the email address given on the job heading.
