Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This module was ll about creating a resume or C.V, and writing letters of application in order to find work. There was also a large section on understanding different cultures, and how not to upset the students in their native country by not being aware of their culture. For this, there was a very good website introduced which gives lots of information on not just continents, but individual countries as well.I learned many valuable lessons from this chapter. I was reminded how to smile and greet my students and to use their names in class. It is also important to not assume a student knows something you think is simple. It may be a difficult concept for the student. You need to speak in a slow firm voice with good pronunciation. The students need to feel comfortable in class, working in pairs can be helpful also.
