Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Wow. The phrasal verb section was difficult. A real slog. Keeping track of the object pronouns and particles and their respective placement was humbling, and maybe that is a good thing. Empathy for the students' language struggles can go a long way. The sections on modal auxiliary verbs, relative clauses, and passive voice were fairly straight forward. The chart for modal auxiliary verbs and the passive voice were most helpful. This unit focused on the productive skills of language acquisition. These two include speaking and writing. It was emphasized that both of these skills are equally important and used for communicative purposes. When someone is trying to communicate they doing so for four different reasons, have some communicative purpose, they want to say something, they want to listen to something, and they are interested in what is being said.
