Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I have completed a bachelor of education, however I begin to see there are many things that need to be taken into account when teaching english abroad, such as cultural differences, age and level of learner you are dealing with. I believe that no matter where you teach however a good learner is a good learner the world over and a good teacher is a good teacher the world over no matter what one is learning and teaching.Teaching new English you need a structure namely, vocabulary, grammar and functions.Students need to be exposed to it, understand it's meaning and how it's constructed and to be able to practice and produce. Therefore we can use the ESA,BOOMERANG or PATCHWORK method to learn a new language. An effective teacher will think about which structure is more appropriate to the class and to the language that will be introduced.
