The vast majority of classes have a maximum of eight students. Teachers follow a set curriculum, with a well-defined speed of teaching. Every classroom contains a conventional white board, an interactive white board, a computer and speakers. Foreign teachers work together with local teachers, but the foreign teacher is responsible for leading the class. The Chinese teacher’s responsibility is to observe the students, and compile an observation diary, which can be used to communicate with the parents about the students’ progress, learning strengths and weaknesses, and personal development.
Salary and benefits
10,000 – 16,000RMB / month;
20,000RMB in yearly bonuses;

Pre-arranged living available - (All teachers are offered free accommodation in western standard apartments very close to the teaching centers. Teachers are offered accommodation in two bedroom apartments that they will share with another teacher. Teachers who would like to live on their own or who would like to find their own apartment are offered a RMB 2,500 housing allowance (instead of free accommodation);

Contract term: 12 months;
Work hours: 20 - 25 teaching hours per week;
5 workdays per week (2 days off every week);
Holidays: Teachers are off on all Chinese national holidays (11 days in total at the moment) and on Christmas Day. In addition to the public holidays teachers are also entitled to 2 weeks holiday (to be taken in February or August).
Shortly after your arrival in China, you will undergo an introductory training period. This is for the duration of the first term of the year and is divided into two main parts. Before the term begins the teachers participate in a two week intensive training period and following that is a term training period of approximately 7-8 weeks spread throughout the term. The introductory training period is mandatory for all new foreign teachers to complete and not only helps to maintain our teaching standard to the highest level possible but also ensures each of our new foreign teachers feels confident to teach any level at any center. The training period is also a great place to meet other teachers beginning their career in Beijing alongside you!
Requirements
- No teaching experience required!
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- TEFL certificate required.
- Clean Criminal background check required.
- Need to be a native level English speaker.
