TEFL in Equatororial Guinea - Malabo

This unit contains two contrasting examples of a lesson. By watching both videos, i learned how to avoid possible teaching mistakes in the future. The first video made me realize the importance of teacher's attitude, and the second gave me some good examples of gesture usage as a tool for better explanations. Most importantly, it showed me how to engage students effectively, and how to keep them interested while presenting new material.There is a wide variance of English language learners and ways to approach teaching them. A good teacher should be adaptable and be able to incorporate all students, despite ability, background, or interest, into lessons to be successful. A teacher should also be aware of the classroom they are going to be teaching and be aware of characteristics of that group of students based on indicators like age or motivation to learn the language.
