Course Online: Certificate of Teaching Practice Recognition

Apply now & get certified to teach english abroad!

For nearly two decades ITTT has been at the forefront of providing high-quality TEFL/TESOL courses that can be studied in-class or online. As part of our commitment to offering the best possible training to our students we are constantly endeavoring to provide courses that meet the demands of the TEFL/TESOL industry. This has led us to develop a certificate of teaching practice recognition (CTPR).

If you are already TEFL or TESOL certified or considering one of our certification courses but lacking teaching practice, our 30-hour CTPR would be perfect for you. This option is aimed at potential teachers or qualified teachers who need to show employers that they have completed six hours of teaching practice.

Participants will teach real English Language Learners (ELLs) over a range of topics. There are a couple of options to how the lessons are undertaken and reported upon. You can either:

  • Find a school or language center of your choice (either in-class or online) and teach your lessons there. The school will sign off that you have completed these lessons and your documents will be sent to ITTT for verification, or
  • You find your own ELL student/s and teach the lessons independently at a location of your choice, either face to face or remotely (via Skype, Zoom, etc.). You will video one of these sessions (1 hour) and send it to ITTT with your other documentation for verification.

You will have six months to complete the certification. Once you have finished successfully you will receive a 30-hour certificate which will reference your minimum of six hours of teaching practice. In addition to this certificate you will have created a portfolio of your work throughout the course. This portfolio will be useful in your future job applications as evidence of your teaching experience and abilities.

Multi-course Packages

If you are yet to complete a TEFL certification course, the best option is to sign up for one of our great value course packages.
