Teaching Special Groups in ESL - Problems with Business English Classes

This video focuses on some of the problems teachers of business English might encounter. How is business Enligsh different to general English? Will you be able to teach business English? Find out in this video.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit highlighted the importance of sentence structure and how that structure can completely change the meaning of a sentence if used incorrectly. I learned a lot about the different types of verbs, nouns and adjectives and the role each different type plays in sentence structure. This unit also showed creative ways of teaching these sentence structure rules to a class. So close to the end of this course, I can see the light at the end of tunnel already. What did I learn... hmmm... I found the passive voice quite interesting. It's something I never thought about when speaking. Yet it makes so much sense when you think about certain situation you'd use it in. I feel like that sort of lesson can only be truly understood by advanced students.
