How to Successfully Balance Teaching English as a Second Language to Both Adults and Children
Through my experience teaching in both a classroom setting and in a less formal setting, for example, teaching swim lessons, I have noticed that age affects how you are teaching materials. Using the swim lessons example, teaching a five-year-old how to swim will be much different from teaching an adult how to swim. You will use different techniques and be required to have a different approach. This is the same as teaching English as a Second Language. Teaching children a foreign language and teaching adults a foreign language will require different skills and energy. Throughout one's teaching career, teachers will likely have to balance... 4 Super Easy Tips for Teaching Vocabulary to Young Learners
When students hear 'vocabulary', they may expect to hear the word 'list' next. More often than not, we associate the word 'list' with 'boring'! We think of 2 daunting columns of black letters on white paper: one with the native language and one with the target language. But it doesn't have to be that way, and for teaching young learners, it cannot be that way. Certainly, teaching vocabulary will involve lists that help learners to receive language methodically and thoroughly. But what a teacher does with the vocabulary lists can be creative and fun and, most of all, memorable!

In China, Parents realize learning English is essential to their child's future. There are many reasons why Chinese have to speak okay English; they also know that the best time for one to master another language, the earlier the best. Reasons Why Singing Songs Helps Children to Learn English
I have a great fascination and interest to teach English as well as proper study techniques to students of all ages. This next year, I plan on moving to China to teach English to young children. When contemplating these future endeavors, I plan on implementing songs as a method to help young children learn English. Singing songs is a fun, interactive method that engages the attention of children. When teaching children, I argue that singing songs is a great method to cultivate and maintain a strong foundation in their English language level.

Why Teach in Korea
Koreans are obsessed with education to enable the best future for their children. No wonder that two thirds of Koreans aged 25-34 hold college degrees with mandatory English classes. English teachers in Korea can expect to make between $1,300 and $3,000 per month.
How far exactly will your salary get you in Korea? Most teachers can put away quite a good portion of their salary - even with a salary of $1,900 per month. You can live quite comfortably when teaching in South Korea.
Most foreigners settle in Seoul, the country’s capital, or Busan, the second largest city in Korea. However, you can find charming cities all across the peninsula. The number of expatriate English teachers hailing from English-speaking nations has increased and stood at... [Read more]
