Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit has taught me a lot about the use of coursebooks, that is, how to effectively use them to suit the needs of my students and also to make them more interesting. I have also learnt about the various other materials that can be used to assist learning in the classroom. In the end, it is very much up to the teacher to make sure that coursebooks and lesson materials are used to the benefit of the students. This unit was a great refresher to me on the parts of speech. In school, I always had difficulty with the more specific classifications of words, but found this lesson to be fairly straightforward and easy to remember. I learned about gerunds, definite and indefinite articles, types of adjectives, transitive and intransitive verbs, and compound and abstract nouns. Most of these parts of grammar I had forgotten.
