The choice of whether or not to use a course book can be a complex issue. A course book does have its advantages and disadvantages, but its also important for a teacher to be creative with their own ideas. Having a balance with Authentic and Created materials makes the lesson more interesting and easy for students to understand. When using a course book it's important to adjust it according to the students and their needs and culture.Reported speech and conditionals are not easy. The main reason for this is keeping track of the change in tenses. Reporting something that was said, and happened, in the past requires us to be aware of how the tense changes to keep the reporting and the conditionals accurate. I can see how many common misunderstandings happen by incorrect usage. this happens frequently in first language usage let alone in English as a second language.
