We employ native speakers of English exclusively, and we currently have teachers on our staff from Great Britain, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. We pride ourselves on our friendly and motivating work environment. We currently have teaching positions available in our five schools in the south of Poland: Bielsko-Biala, Gliwice, Opole, Tychy, and Wroclaw, starting in September and October 2005. We are looking for creative and confident English teachers willing to teach students of all ages and you will find them very friendly and eager to learn. Bielsko-Biala, Gliwice, Opole, Tychy, and Wroclaw are ideally located for all those interested in Central and Eastern Europe. Places of great tourist and cultural interest in Poland like Krakow or the skiing resorts in the Polish mountains are in close vicinity, and they will also make a perfect set-out point for visitors to Warsaw, Prague, Budapest or Berlin. Our school does offer more than just the chance for a good time ? the teaching work is challenging, at times demanding and also varied. Our teachers organise student clubs and charity events, give lectures, and contribute to the creation of the school community. However, it could be the ideal starting place for a new career we have in place a well-designed teacher training program which will continue to assist you long after the initial phase is completed. As we try to recruit our managerial staff from among our teaching staff, we can offer great prospects for promotion and we are willing to subsidise further training for our teachers. Even though our school is relatively young, many teachers who have worked for us have already benefited from the experience they gained here. We offer our teachers a very competitive package. We offer our teachers a very competitive package, including: Basic contract information is as follows: Guaranteed minimum teaching workload of 26 hours/week. Salary starting at 30 PLN net (after tax) per one teaching hour (i.e. 50 minutes). Monthly net income amounts to approximately 3, 200 PLN based on the guaranteed workload. Optional extension of workload of up to 38 hours/week (when available), which gives a net income of approximately 5, 200 PLN . Airfare allowance of 1200 PLN (paid after a teacher has worked until the end of the contract). Work permit and translation of all documents from English into Polish. Assistance with healthcare. (The school pays for basic healthcare at private clinics if a teacher becomes ill, and covers the cost of doctors appointments, emergency first-aid and the cost of obtaining prescriptions. The teacher pays only for medication.) On-going professional development (in-house training sessions, workshops and external seminars). Ski-passes (if you are a skier or willing to learn how to ski). Friendly environment Our teachers are expected: to participate in an initial intensive teacher training session, as well as regular professional development sessions (workshops, case studies, student focus groups) to conduct lessons (usually in the afternoons between 3.30 pm and 9.20 pm, and additionally in the mornings and on Saturdays on a rotational basis). to assess their students: conduct and correct tests and homework to prepare and conduct lectures on topics of interest (such as culture and sport) twice a semester to participate in the school's teacher and student social events to participate in peer observations to provide students with consultation hours (twice/ week) Please find enclosed our job application form and a recruitment handbook with detailed information about the school, our teachers and life in Poland. It's worth mentioning that a good teacher personality as well as a good teacher-student relationship is fundamental in order to be successful in learning English. To better implement the role of the teacher,one needs to take into consideration certain key factors like age,learning experience, motivation, language awareness, nervousness, culture and language, language level, etc. A good teacher will always make good students.Course books are very useful helpers if the teacher uses them as inspiration and not as complete sources of information which wouldn't be helpful for the students because the situation in class is not always suitable for them. As a result a good teacher should always utilise authentic and created materials which are more interesting, motivating and can also boost the students' confidence and create flexibility in the class.
