This unit is based on conditionals and speech. The first part of the unit explains the following different forms of conditionals: zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. Moreover, the difference between direct and reposted speech is explained. Direct speech is the actual speech that is communicated. Reposted speech involves a report of the past.I learned that the present perfect form will probably be something that will be difficult to teach to non native English speakers. It will be important to convey that the forms used in present perfect form are also used to indicate the past tense of words. I have also learned some activities to help students show their understanding of present by doing things such as having identify actions being mimed.
