Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

An ESL teacher may encounter varying types of students/classroom situations and types of classes taught. Within a class-it could all be one level (beginner (absolute/false), adult beginner, young learners and those who are unfamiliar with the Roman Alphabet. Different types of classes exist as well such as all one level, individual tutoring or specific needs such as in the business/corporate world. This unit covers the productive skills of speaking and writing. It once again covers the various techniques and activities that can help both the students and the teachers in the classroom. It also shows that although writing is sometimes neglected it is just as important as speaking. Both teachers and students often use writing as a form of homework which frees more time for studying in the lessons.
