Marian Baker School (MBS) is a small international English-speaking school educating preschool through high school students. We are located on the verdant eastern slopes of the Central Valley overlooking San Jose and have occasional opportunities for TEFL qualified teachers. Our school is fully accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Public Education (MEP) and the Advanc-Ed Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI), offering a curriculum that prepares students for colleges and universities in the United States and Costa Rica, as well as other countries.
There are fourteen different nationalities represented among teachers and students. Staff vigorously supports parent expectations of the school: preparation for university, authentic learning experiences, small class size, open-ended critical thinking strategies, student support and intervention services and family oriented school-wide events. .

All teaching positions at MBS have the following initial requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in subject area and/or valid teaching credential in subject area (such as TESOL /TEFL)
Minimum 2 years of work experience
Master’s preferred
Specific positions may require additional qualifications.
