Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit 12, I have learned the ‘Teaching Productive Skills’. Productive skills include speaking and writing. Teaching productive skills is even more difficult than receptive skills. But I know that productive skill is extremely important for communicating with others in our lives. So I want to make a comfortable atmosphere for the student to express their own thoughts and feels. This unit gave a good overview of the type of tools I could use as a teacher in the classroom. I remember certain tools from my own experiences as a student that got me excited about a lesson, such as OHP, DVDs, and Video Cameras, so I am excited to use them now as a teacher. I also appreciated the list of resources such as Voice of America and BBC that can be used in and out of the classroom.
