Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is interesting, as well as some before it, because as I read through the lessons and watch the videos I am able to recognize the methods and skills used and taught in the language classes that I have taken. While I have never thought about it in this way it would be useful to look at the different skills and how they can be used together to create an interesting and effective lesson in the future.Unit 16 has explained conditional sentences and their relation to tenses in English. The unit has also explained the differences between direct and reported speech with reference to the proper use of tenses. The unit has highlighted to me that the correct tense needs to be used in a reported sentence. I have found the concept a little difficult due to the amount of slang which is currently used in Australia.
