How do I get a job teaching English in Japan?

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit focused on the strategies of classroom management. Some of the strategies discussed include classroom arrangement, the use of and just, use of eye contact, and techniques for building rapport between the teacher and the students. One thing I found particularly useful was the suggestions on how to apply particular classroom management techniques in the classroom setting. This unit was much like the unit on present tenses but just shorter. Again, being an English native speaker, these tenses are quite difficult as we don't really think about how we say things, we just say them. It is quite useful knowing the different past tenses and how they are used, this unit makes it easier to understand by giving examples and regular and irregular words used.
