The Importance of Slang and The Way to Teach it to Young Learners
Language textbooks are a good source for language learners and teachers, especially new language learners or teachers who may not know exactly where to begin. However, while textbooks are a valuable resource, they do not teach students everything they need to know when it comes to interacting with native speakers of the target language. This is because all native speakers use some level of slang in their everyday speech, in the classroom, and even in their workplace. For this reason alone, ESL students need to begin learning common slang they may hear.

The Best Times to Teach Slang and Idioms
While slang and idioms may not be essential to clear communication, especially when their meanings are very different from their packaging, they do communicate something more subtle: 'I'm trying to observe the nuances of your language to better connect with you'. Slang lets you come across as casual, intimidating, clever, or whimsical in ways that straightforward language can't. FluentU English Educating Blog puts it this way: "Teaching Idioms Is Teaching Fluency". Communicating your personality is easier when you are more fluent, or at least when you have more idioms under your belt.

Why it is Important to Know the Difference Between ESL and EFL
Just like any profession, teaching English has specific terms and acronyms that can be used to describe the job. While teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) is an overarching term to describe the job of teaching English to those who do not use English as their native language, ESL (English as a Second Language) and EFL (English as a Foreign Language) must be distinguished. ESL and EFL describe different locations, purposes, and techniques for teaching English. Additionally, it may be beneficial for instructors to experience teaching both ESL and EFL to be a well-rounded and sympathetic instructor.

The Importance of Teaching Slang to ESL Students
In January, I stood in front of a class of breakthrough English students at a university in Bogotá, Colombia. I'd never taught students in an ESL classroom before, but I was pretty confident having seven years of experience under my belt and a degree in literature. I was naive. I began the lesson with the class that my co-teacher had lent me for the first time. The objective of the lesson was to practice using past tense through storytelling; five minutes into it, I called on a student with his hand in the air. " What up, My Nigga!" He said it and I almost lost all of my composure on the first day while I should have been thinking about building rapport.

How to Learn Classroom Management Skills and Implement Them at Work
Classroom management deals with role flexibility, organizing and maintaining discipline. The student's confidence and learning effectiveness will depend on the teacher's classroom management skills. The teacher must know when it is time to be firm or when to leave students alone. The level of firmness depends on the age of the students. Overall, it is best to keep a controlled environment at the beginning then tail it off with a relaxed environment especially with kids or younger learners.

Why Group Seating Arrangement is Important
Most of the teachers like to arrange the seating arrangement. The aim is the only one which is to make sure all the students focus and understand what is going on in class. Even no arrangement is perfect but yet it helps. As a teacher in a lower primary in one of the international schools in Indonesia, I do like to arrange my students' seats. With English as a daily basis language and students are from different Asia countries with mixed language ability, the seating arrangement is one of the keys.
