Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This lesson introduced the receptive skills of reading and listening. It explained the differences between our processing of new information through reading versus listening, and described the different ways and reasons for reading/listening (looking for specific information, entertainment, skimming, etc.) These explanations and example activities will prove useful in creating balanced, effective lessons in the future. This unit reviewed the different forms of conditionals including zero through third and mixed. It also discussed direct and reported speech. I take reporting speech for granted as a native speaker. It was helpful to learn the rules for changing direct speech to reported speech. These changes include tense changes and word choices relating to time. I plan to review this subject more to assure I can teach it effectively.
