Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I learned about grammar, language functions and vocabulary and the possible associated Engage, Study and Activity exercises that can be done for each category. This was helpful as this section provided concrete examples that can be used in reality. I learned that it was not always easy to select which vocabulary the students should learn and about the factors that would determine which vocabulary to teach. This unit was an overview of the past tenses and included explanations of the past simple, the past continuous, the past perfect, and the past perfect continuous forms. Not only were the forms of these tenses explained, but the usages and common errors were explained as well. As with past units, I continue to find the sections on common student errors and sample activate stage activities to be the most helpful.
