We are an established business/language school in Midtown Manhattan. All students are adult learners. We are currently accepting resumes of TEFL qualified English teachers to teach the following courses:

ESL (English as a Second Language)

TOEFL
Business English

You must be a native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree. Teaching experience is preferred.

To teach at our school, you would need to have two documents, ESOL Certificate and a teacher’s license from the NYS Education Department. You are welcome to interview first, and we will help qualified candidates with the application process. You may teach as soon as you submit your application.

Preference is given to already certified and licensed teachers.

Part time for starters, full time is possible depending on evaluation.
Starting pay: $12-15 per hour.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I learned about grammarï¼Œ language functions and vocabulary and the possible associated Engage, Study and Activity exercises that can be done for each category. This was helpful as this section provided concrete examples that can be used in reality. I learned that it was not always easy to select which vocabulary the students should learn and about the factors that would determine which vocabulary to teach.This unit was an overview of the past tenses and included explanations of the past simple, the past continuous, the past perfect, and the past perfect continuous forms. Not only were the forms of these tenses explained, but the usages and common errors were explained as well. As with past units, I continue to find the sections on common student errors and sample activate stage activities to be the most helpful.
