Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, I have learned about modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice, which are parts of the English grammar. Modals include can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to,need to, needn't and ought to. They are used to express obligation, possibility, permission, ability, and advice. There are two voices used in English, the active voice and passive voice. There are five conditionals: Zero conditional, First conditional, second conditional, third conditional, and mixed conditional. It is important to know the typical mistakes that can be made with them and to understand when they are used. The teaching ideas are explained in the unit which can help with classes. Reported speech and direct speech are important as well to change sentence structures
