Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

There are many native English speakers who find it hard to hear some features of pronunciation. Therefore, teachers think, how can they teach something that they do not even understand, to foreign students. As a result, pronunciation becomes the most neglected subject and seems alien and abstract in English language teaching. Pronunciation will be learnt more effectively, if it is considered as an integral part of the course. This unit is about the different types of testing/evaluating students' language learning. This unit reviews the different forms of testing and their roles within the course. It is important to understand the different types of testing to make sure you are using tests effectively for your students. This unit also reviews all of the different external exams students can take to check and/or certify their proficiency in English.
