Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

From this first unit, I have learned that it is important to be patient and to provide motivation for my future student. Regardless of age or experience, learning a new language can be daunting and intimidating. The material in this unit stresses the fact that the students will rely on their teacher to set a good example. I want to make sure that I can not only teach, but lead by example when it comes time to have a class of my own.It makes sense to understand the set up of the classrom depending on the size of the class. It is also good to be aware of gestures and how you react to certain situations in the classrom and the importance of teacher talk time and student talk time TTT/STT. Group work is a good way to grow as a classroom to build comfortablity between students and being aware of who gets along better amongst students. I enjoyed this unit thoroughly
