Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit explained how themes can be applied to a range of contexts and situations. Case studies has a whole range of language learn opportunities. Problem based learning places you as a facilitator rather than a teacher. Case studies makes the problem overt, whereas problem based learning allows students to identify what they feel are the problems to be addressed. Games are activities with a purpose, rules and elements of fun. This unit shows the same lesson being taught in two different ways - one way is effective, the other is not. It shows that the attitude that the teacher enters the class with is very important. In the first video the teacher looked unhappy, did not introduce himself, and did not make an effort to learn students' names. In the second video the teacher was enthusiastic and made an effort to introduce himself and meet the students.
