Nam Phong Suksa is a Government school located in 'heartland' Isaan. Our school is about 25 km north of Khon Kaen. We are after a Native English speaker (NZ,US,UK,CAN,AUST) to teach conversation English to our mathayom students. The qualifications we seek are a BA and TEFL. Teaching experience in any field is also preferred. You will be required to teach no more than 24 periods per week. A typical week will see you teach on average about 20 periods taking into account the many activities the students get involved in.

The salary we offer is 20, 000 - 25, 000 depending on your qualifications. You won't need to push your case too hard for the higher salary if you have an enthusiasm to teach our kids. We will assist with your work permit. The contract is for 10 ½ months from 16 May 2005 - 31 March 2006. We provide accommodation on the school grounds or you can choose to commute from Khon Kaen however the cost for living there will be your responsibility. A few of our teachers do exactly that. Public transport is in walking distance from our school to anywhere in the country.

At our school all the foreign teachers are paid by the students parents. Our community realise that English is very important for their children. They also need assurances of continuity, so please take that into account when you apply for this job. As I mentioned the school is definitely in the 'heartland' however Khon Kaen has everything you would need. There is also Udon Thani which is about an hours drive north.
