Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

vocabulary and grammar can sometimes be complicated and this lesson has helped me to understand the approach to teaching vocabulary and grammar structures. using the ESA method i have clearly understood how to effectively use the Engage - Study - activate method through the examples listed in the lesson. I have also learnt about language functions and that it can be effectively taught with the boomerang and patchwork ESA method.Unit 3 provided an overview of the methodologies teachers can employ to deliver a successful English lesson. This unit taught me the importance of engaging students at the start of the lesson to keep them motivated throughout the duration of the class. The unit also brought me an awareness of how to correct a student in an appropriate form as I learned that too much correction can be discouraging and demotivating for the student.
