Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

It is difficult to decide on the course material and it is really important to have a guide but as this lesson points out it is also far more advantageous to get creative and use the set course material as a guideline. Creativity makes the lesson interesting and captivates the students interest. Therefor making the students more interactive and making the lesson easier for both student and teacher. In this unit, we learned about the distinction between receptive and generative language skills. We learned some basic strategies for developing stronger receptive skills, with particular attention to keeping the class motivated and engaged. We also acquired a basic rubric for understanding different kinds of reading skills, and a similar rubric for categorizing different kinds of listening skills.
