Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This is a very important aspect of language learning and probably my biggest challenge. this is because I am a first language English speaker and a lot of the intonation, stress and pronunciation are not very conscious. we learn to recognise these things almost instinctively. However, it is very important that people learning a language as a foreign language will feel at home in a country and language the more they learn this subtlety. This unit provided me with important information about English phonetics and phonology, like the difference between the concepts of stress and intonation, some rules for the stressing of words and the intonation patterns used in English. Moreover, it helped me revise concepts I have had always confused (like place and manner of articulation) and taught me the best ways of introducing this information to students in an entertaining way.
