The Early Years Teacher at Ruamrudee International School Phuket is responsible for providing a nurturing and engaging educational experience for young learners. This position involves creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Early Years Teacher will implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assess student progress, and collaborate with parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of each child. Key Responsibilities: 1. CurriculumPlanningandImplementation: ● Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the school's educational philosophy and meets the needs of early learners. ● Create engaging and interactive lessons that promote language development, cognitive skills, socialisation, and motor skills. 2. ClassroomManagement: ● Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and play. ● Implement effective classroom management strategies that encourage positive behaviour and social skills. 3. AssessmentandReporting: ● Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor individual student progress and development. ● Provide regular feedback to parents on their child's achievements, challenges, and developmental milestones. 4. ParentCommunicationandCollaboration: ● Foster positive relationships with parents through regular communication, conferences, and events. ● Collaborate with parents to support each child's learning and address any concerns or questions. 5. LearningSupportandDifferentiation: ● Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students through individualised instruction and appropriate learning materials. ● Collaborate with support staff and specialists to provide additional assistance when needed. 6. HealthandSafety: ● Ensure the well-being and safety of all students in the classroom and on the school premises. ● Follow established health and safety protocols, and promptly address any concerns related to student welfare. 7. ProfessionalDevelopment: ● Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education. ● Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Master's degree is a plus. ● Teaching certification with a focus on early childhood education. (TEFL & CTEYL) ● Proven experience in teaching young children in an early years setting. ● Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education theories. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ● Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
